Will my FAQ show up as a dropdown in Google?
No. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in May 2026. The markup is still valid and a clear way to label questions and answers, but the bigger gain is having them written on your page at all.
Do the questions need to be on my page?
Yes. Every question and answer in the code must also be visible on the page. Marking up text that visitors can't see breaks Google's rules.
